The Juva Skin & Laser Center and Medispa became the world’s first center to combine spa related services with state of the art medical and laser procedures nearly 10 years ago, thus starting the medical spa revolution. Its founder, Dr. Bruce Katz, coined and trademarked the term “medispa” after recognizing the growing patient demand for more integrated services and a lack of lasting effects from traditional spa treatments.
In this 5,000 square-foot facility located in Midtown Manhattan, patients and spa clients receive the perfect blend of aesthetics and science for all of their skin care needs. The center offers a unique contrast to the traditional sterile medical office from
the first encounter. A warm and inviting environment welcomes the patient as he or she enters from the elevator. At the front desk, the patient receives an informational brochure that details the services offered by the center. In order to fully serve their patients, patients complete a detailed demographic and medical history form in the reception area. The reception area is equipped
with two television monitors and wireless headphones that patients may use to learn about the procedures offered at Juva.
Patients can be pampered with New York’s first physician-formulated spa treatments which confer long-lastingaesthetic and medical benefits. In addition, four dermatologists, a plastic surgeon, and physician assistants are always on site to assist with every aspect
Another entirely unique feature of the practice is that any aesthetic goal a patient may have can be addressed with the availability of 42 lasers on site 7 days a week.
