Alchimie Forever Announces the Opening of its Flagship Showroom in the Heart of Georgetown

Washington, DC – Alchimie Forever is pleased to announce the opening of company’s new Washington DC headquarters in the heart of Georgetown on famed shopping street Wisconsin Avenue. Just steps from the waterfront in Georgetown, the brand’s new showroom is conveniently located in the 1010 Wisconsin Avenue NW.

In addition to housing the company’s North American corporate offices, the new space will serve as a visual representation of the brand. There will be a retail area for product display and sales, as well as a space for training, and most importantly, an esthetician’s room where Alchimie Forever signature facials will be demonstrated.

The space is designed as an ephemeral scientific white box colored by reflections and refractions of light and shiny surfaces and colored furnishings. The setting is both conceptual and sensual.

The design was guided by master architect Andreas Angelidakis of Greece. Angelidakis has been involved with the Polla family and their offices and medical spa in Geneva, Switzerland, for over 10 years, and is the creator and guardian of Alchimie Forever aesthetics.

Angelidakis says of the collaboration, “The Forever brand is a unique proposition which grew out of the collective dreams of Dr. Luigi Polla and his family. I was lucky enough to be invited into this fantastic project by the Polla family, and to offer my services and watch this project grow from the very beginning. Barbara and Luigi Polla’s combination of expertise in medicine, beauty and contemporary art is an incredible set of ingredients for any project that requires aesthetics. It has been an absolute joy working with the Pollas and continues to be so with the upcoming generation of talented and driven entrepreneurs such as their daughter Ada.”

The design and architecture effort was led by Jim Cronenberg of Grupo7. Mr. Cronenberg received his Master’s Degree in Architecture from Yale University in 1998 and later founded Grupo7 with José Tohá in November 2002. Ada Polla, President & CEO of Alchimie Forever immediately hit it off with Cronenberg, whose firm had the additional advantage of being located directly across the new Alchimie Forever space. “Nothing like giving work to your neighbors,” says Polla. “And since we are going to be neighbors, Jim had an extra incentive to make everything as beautiful as possible”.

The company will move on Saturday July 11, 2009. A grand opening will follow in the fall. Polla had these final words about the new flagship US location: “Moving to this space was absolutely the right decision for Alchimie Forever. We need to have a flagship presence to take our brand to the next level and show people what it can look like without having to make everyone travel to Switzerland. And in this economy, I was able to negotiate a better deal than I otherwise would have.” The deal was brokered by W. Alex Walker of Trent Western Retail.
